I'm responding to Sue's email about the Forum. Is there a limit to the number of characters we can use? I'm entering more, so see if I run into a limit and that will indicate that there's a restriction. I'm not sure what is causing the great number of email acknowledgements that Sue reports. I shall have to look into that separately from this response on the forum. If there is a limit on the size of an entry, I haven't hit it yet, but I'm still typing. Eventually, will the forum tell me to stop, or will it just truncate whet have typed in? That would be very frustrating; if it let me type paragraphs and paragraphs into the text box, and then arbitrarily chopped off most of it, leaving just the first few lines. I'd be deisappointed about that, and perhaps a bit angy. If I was a "throwing stuff across the room" type, I might throw the computer. Happily, I value it too much for that! Now on to a third paragraph and I haven't had any prompt that suggests I ought to stop so I'm eondering how far I need to go to test the limit. If there is no limit, I could be here for most of the afternoon, inventing more drivel to put in the box. I guess it might make sense, in any case, having go this far, to publish the comment, and if I have more to say, to start a new one. There's nothing more irritating that getting this far into composing something on a website, only to lose the lot and have to start again. So I'll stop now. I've had enough.
